log (x+4) - log 2 = log (5x+1)
Please explain the steps
If they have same base (i.e base10)
*log(a)/(b) = log(a) - log(b)
Log(x+ 4) - log2 = log (5x + 1)
log(x+4)/2 = log (5x + 1)
(x + 4)/2 = 5x + 1 ...because.. have same base
x+4=10x + 2
9x=2
x=2/9
