Ok, I have Vista and if you don't have it, don't get it. It's difficult and stupid and every week I have another computer problem. Now I was bringing some stuff over to my Vista computer from my other one and the darn thing did something. When I was merging my files, somehow, something happened.
Now as a result
1. I keep getting that stupid message, "you need permission" or "administration to do this" whenever I try to delete excess folders.
2. In the process of deleting excess folders, some others were deleted. I accidentally cleared my recycle bin and now they are lost.
3. Itunes doesn't work anymore because it can't find it's folder and My music is gone, Library of over 400 songs.
4. I'm about to cry because I can't figure this out.
Fix- I need to restore my computer to exactly how it was 2 day's ago, folders and all. No, system restore doesn't work because it doesn't restor your folders or files, just your downloads. I need it back to how it was. Please help me. THank

You need to "take ownership" of the files you transferred over. Right click on the file or folder and select "Properties" then click the "Security" tab and select "Ownership" then "Take Ownership".
For the files you lost. Go back to the old computer and move them back over to the new one again.
To find your iTunes folder do a search for the iTunes folder.
Sorry, man. I guess there is just no way you'll be able to restore them. I used vista and after 2 days erased it from my system. Xp is way much better than vista performance-wise. Good thing I always does backup in removable media. Also, if you'll continue using vista, check if your progs are vista-ready.
