I'm a Doctor Who fan, and in Doctor Who, the main character's name is a secret, right? He simply goes by "The Doctor," and on his home planet, they used to use mathematics all of time for writing or something. Well, I read from a book profile description somewhere that his actual name was ∂³∑x²(Also written as "d³∑x²"), and I have no idea what it even means.
Is it even a mathematics problem? I'm horrible at maths, so I wouldn't know what it might reference to or anything. Is it just a simple number when you translate it into common words? Is it just a stand alone number with no point? Any thoughts would be appreciated, thank you.

Ah my favorite topic as I am a Dr of Tv Puzzles
To work out the answer You have to times the terminal velocity of a car by the radius of a star (RS3476T) and then square it. This number is pladdecks constant (Pladdeck a famous scientist from micronesia) But that's not all. To work out the reshift you have to times the pladdeck constant by Hiponyaks general theory u=rs+t. This theory explains why Tomos Debrasky's theory suggests that the Universe is in fact Omlettet shaped. Fascinating. The Number that this equals then has to be applied to general submolocular astertaneous physics, developed by the late Dr john dotwell. To do this you need to times the current number by the spearmans rank correlatoon coeficiant of a dostangular constand in proportion to the earths gravitiational pull. The answer should be 5.999999999. If so times this my Conrads general theory, r= i+d+i+o+t and you ahve your answer.
The Doctor's true name is always kept secret, perhaps because (as in human folklore/religion) when you know someone's name you have power over them, also because mystery gets fans speculating and more hooked on the show. He also claims it is unpronouceable in human languages.
If there was a solution to this puzzle the fans would have worked it out, the mystery would be over, and that would detract from the appeal of Dr Who. That is not going to happen.
These symbols are probably just a representation, like "squiggle" for Prince, not a code for his real name. So I think there is no solution.
The nearest the TV show gets to revealing his name is when another Time Lord (Drax) says he was called "Theta Sigma" or "Dr Theet" in the academy, but "theta sigma" may be the ID that the academy used to avoid using his real name (which was probably forbidden), and "Dr Theet" is obviously a nick-name.
d is generally used in calculus as the differential operator (the curly d is reserved for partial derivatives). The 3 indicates that it has been applied three times. The capital sigma is used to indicate summation of the following function. No lowest and highest function values are given, so the actual sum is impossible to calculate. x^2 is just an algebraic function.
Funnily enough, if you actually try to differentiate any sum of x^2's three times in a row, you'll just get a big fat 0. So if you want a definite answer, it's probably 0.
d³Σx² or ∂³∑x² means/stands for...
The Doctor also by theta sigma(in his college years) and he was also called the other.
The reference to The Doctor being called “The Other” (someone whom was with Rassilon and Omega at the creation of the matrix, and reincarnated as The Doctor.) was from the Virgin New Adventure novels, specifically Lungbarrow, and it’s not considered canon.
Theta Sigma, The Doctor’s Academy name, is, however, canon. (In The Armageddon Factor, Drax, a fellow pupil from the Academy, calls The Doctor: “Thete”, which was his apparent nickname.)
Apparently (according to the 1972 Making Of Doctor Who) The Doctor’s written name (in Old High Gallifreyan) is: δ³Σx². Translated from the Ancient Greek, it means: Foolish Wonderer. (It could be a nod to the legend of Odysseus, who was often called this.)
The above from the Marvel Comics from the 70s/80s is apparently a cheeky joke and just translates as “Doctor Who”. ;)
Hope that helps.
Hello,
I was looking for a free download Janes Hotel Family Hero I found it here; http://bit.ly/1pUK3sY
Finally the full version is avaiable!
It is a game that has a gameplay which you as the hero is tasked to restore a chain of hotels and regain it like it used to.
No, that's no longer. Heroes is punctiliously diverse from X-adult men, they do no longer stay in an academy with different heroes like the mutants in X-adult men do, and it does no longer contain any flying of area deliver. Heroes is surely an excellent television instruct. like it.
This isn't going to be helpful to you, but at least now I know why he is called "The Doctor"!
∑ is the greek letter sigma (capital) which normally means sum of. ∂ is delta (lower case) and i think it means change in but i think that might only be for the capital letter. or mayve think d*d*d*Z*x*x. no idea though.
