Believe me when I tell you that being popular in high school is not all it's cracked up to be. To be popular, many times you must either have something you can't control (rich parents, influential parents, adult features etc) or you have to be someone who is willing to put down others to rise above them socially. I am one year out of high school and into college, and guess where the popular girl that I used to go to school with is? She had twins, and is pregnant with her third (different baby daddies), unmarried, and not going to college. All the "losers" are now well on their way to successful lives and careers. It is better to become the guy that when people remember you at they say "yeah I remember him he was nice" Then the person that people remember as one of the "popular crowd" and they will just resent you. If you have a lot of friends an you know alot of people than guess what you are already popular in the bets sense of the word and you don't want to be popular in the worst Also people in the popular crowds never say friends with each other, it seems that most of them actually dislike each other because they see each other and competition for the "top spot"

Listen, you have to stand out from the crowd, to do something that no one else did. You need to be EXTREMLY communicative and outgoing, shy people are NEVER popular. Be nice to everyone. If you have some talents - show them off and let people know how cool you realy are. One thing you'll probably like is - when you're popular all the prettiest chicks are around you. I know that, beacuse I'm pretty popular and I'm a teenage superstar. I'm a rapper and a hip-hop producer - and everybody knows me here. But, you got to think about it a little bit. When you're popular, you have a VERY SMALL AMOUNT OF PRIVACY, and everyone wants to hang out with you all the time (but you will not have time for all the people) and everything you do will be well-known around the kids, everyone will watch your every step and talk about it. Also, there will be A LOT of people that will envy you and talk behind your back because they're jealous...

That's popularity...

Get involved in plenty of school activities. Sports, plays, student board, pep rallies, everything! You want to have positive popularity, so just be yourself; don't try to be a jerk to get attention, or think hooking up will get it because all it will get you is a bad rep and all the wrong attention. But people with charisma and charm and always in the public eye are usually the most popular!

But I think most importantly, you should surround yourself with supportive friends, not just a bunch of flunkies who will abandon you when times get rough. Good friends will always be better than hoards of familiar faces. Be a good friend and the popularity will come in its own way!

Well just be nice to like EVERYONE and be confident but don't walk around looking like you got dressed in the dark because it's a fad or act like a butthole. People love popular people who are friends with people in a bunch of different groups, DNT BE LIMITED!!! And don't refer to yourself as the popular guy even if others do, it sounds kinda like your boasting, be humble.

you want to know how to be popular?? dont TRY to be popular. if you try, it will show. honestly, i dont understand why anyone would ask this question. its WAY more fun to be yourself and not live up to everyone else's standards. if you're fake, so are your "many" friends. fake friends dont last long. if you just be yourself, you make REAL friends. if you try to be popular, it will definitely hurt you more than help you.

Be outgoing and confident. Also do sports or theatre or something else that you enjoy. Basically be yourself because uniqueness is what will make you stand out and be envied.

You need to find out what hairstyles and clothing are popular. Like in my town guys wear polos, jeans, and wallabees. If you want to be one of them you have to look like one of them.
