You should do this or your parents should force you to do this:
Drop all extracurricular activities and I mean everything. Convert your life into a routine of eat, sleep, class attendance and study. Absolutely zero social life. Get formal instruction on how to study properly, tutoring as necessary (not the kind who simply does you homework for you). You should be in an environment of "intellectual boot camp" until your grades radically improve and stay high. If necessary this regimen should last for the remainder of your high school years.

Ok, let me just say, everyone that's written something before I started writing this doesn't know what they're talking about. I graduated high school with a 3.5 and got a 2.2 gpa my first semester of college, and that doesn't include my calculus class that I dropped because I would have failed that class. I worked like crazy that semester so all of you that insist it's just a matter of putting more effort don't know what you're talking about. I am going into the second half of my sophomore year and am a double major with a 3.5 in econ and 3.0 in psych and I've just learned to study smarter not harder. The first thing you need to figure out is what changed between middle school and high school. Your middle school might have been less rigorous and left you unprepared for your high school. In this case you're of course going to have to not only learn what you're being taught in class but what you missed in middle school. Another thing is if you're studying the same way you did in middle school, you have to recognize that your old study techniques and habits are not cutting it anymore and you have to change it up. The last thing I would suggest is to use every resource you can. The internet is fantastic I taught myself calculus over the internet in high school because the teacher didn't actually know any calculus and the textbook didn't make much sense to me, and probably the best resource is friends. I have been thriving in college thanks to study groups, they are invaluable assuming you have some sharp friends that are willing to help you out. I would also say go to office hours but I don't know that any high schools do that. If you get a bad grade on something examine where you went wrong and talk to the teacher so you can be perfectly clear on what you need to do to get an A on the next assignment. Lastly I would say that it's a terrible feeling to get bad grades when you put so much work into it, and it's painful to catch up; but colleges will be incredibly impressed if you can manage to turn it around; and if you give it your all, you can't have any regrets.
Oh one last thing, yes you need to get your priorities straight; you might need to drop some extracurriculars but if you only focus on grades you'll burn out. You need to take care of you physical and emotional health, so some extracurriculars will probably be beneficial.
If you really want to be A-B student then be A-B student by studying hard .If you want to be an average student then be an average student.Just be however you want, however you feel comfortable.Remember everything is in your hands,it's your decision and no one can stick the books at your face so you study all day and night and no one can lock you somewhere so you can't go to school.
All you can do is study harder, that's it. Try asking for a tutor from you parents if you think that will help or ask if your school has an after-school homework lab. Mine did when I went to school. Hope I helped! xoxo

Barley pasted? Is that some sort of bread mix?
Eat breakfast every morning as it will give you energy and go to bed earlier/get more sleep.
Maybe you aren't wearing the right underwear to class........ >_>
Hey, I can take a shot at this too, eh?
Imbecile. :P
barley pasted??? really????
I think I see why you are not getting better grades.
Study harder.
Are you trying to be cool in class?
