New Years Eve is big in Ecuador. The people make straw figures of the people they disliked the most that year (political figures, the goalie that missed the winning goal, neighbors, etc) and burn them at midnight. Of course they party the night away.
Another is Day of the Dead. They make special food to bring to the graves of dead loved ones. Link below.
