I remember in the early 2000's everyone was buying Hondas. It was like the most Common car.Did Toyota get more popular over the years?Or Other Car Brands?
If you live in a populated city I would like you to do a tally of how many honda's you see in a short matter of time. Japanese cars have been dominating domestics since the 90's
Well, if you are in the U.S, many more people want to support American auto companies. You will see more of than on the road than you use to. Honda is still a good, well-made car company. The reason why you do not see as much of them is because they have not really changed their car designs. They have not spent enough time and money promoting their newest features in their cars.
Toyota became more popular, or seems to be due to advertising and people seem to like the new body looks of their vehicles.
Gotta love Mad Jack's retarded response. Dude has a grudge against all Honda products and takes advantage of every opportunity to constantly bash the brand.
I had a friend that once owned a Honda. She drove the car to and from work. mostly. The never towed anything or abused the vehicle. She just drove it.
At about 25,000 miles the transmission failed. This was replaced under warranty. At about 40,000 miles the transmission failed again. This time she had to pay money to have it repaired as the warranty had expired. At about 55,000 miles it failed again. This time, after she paid to have it fixed she traded it in on a Chevy and never looked back.
Unfortunately, she got rid of her POS before the class action lawsuit about the POS Honda transmissions.
Presume you are from the US as they used to swear by them, but then again compared the cars over there they were mega modern and reliable. Over here in Europe they are just as reliable as other bakes and most are considered bland and boring unless you are willing to buy their S2000.

Hi Maggie
I have had 3 Honda's and swear by them for reliability, not so much for mpg. but you rarely see them on the roadside waiting for a tow
I now have a toyota, just decided to give them a try, and mpg was so much better, and the build same quailty as Honda
so both brands equal on quality, but Toyota better on fuel
hope this helps

Over rated riding on their outdated reputation.
