Casinos usually require ID to match the credit card but your parents might be able to arrange the prepayment with the hotel in advance. Have them call the Hotel Public Relations Department. I know I prepaid for my mother on a visit.

a minor can not check into a hotel without their parent or legal guardian. Also you must show the credit card upon check in. You will not be able to stay at a hotel without an adult....especially in Las Vegas. You can not be on any casino floor if you are under 21. What kind of parents would let thier child, that is a minor get a hotel in Las Vegas alone. Not very responsible parents. It is very possible that the hotel staff will report you if you try.

I just got back from my trip to Vegas, and I had to produce the credit card upon check in and check out. I needed a copy of the confirmation for the online booking as well.

They were very particular about under 21 being on or near any of the casino floors. I visited practically all of them, and because we had children with us, they didnt like us even walking through.

I'm not sure if you are able to stay in a hotel room by yourself under the age of 18 in Las Vegas anyway, you should check this, as if it is the case you may get turned away when you get there, regardless to what you paid, and you wouldnt get your money back either.

I would suggest you pay the extra and have someone of age go with you, it would save a lot of hassel and wont ruin your trip.

You have to be 18 to check into a hotel in Vegas. They check IDs, and you will have to have the credit card with you. It is a legal liability waiver you are signing when you check into the hotel. As a minor you are unable to legally sign it. It doesn't matter who is actually paying for the room, it matters who is taking responsibility for the room. (you, the guest, who is actually staying in it). It is a liability to the hotel that they are not willing to take if they let you sign for the room and something happens. good luck. You can always call the hotel you are staying at to see if you can work something out, but be prepared for "no".

the credit card is put down for insurance purposes. This is incase you destroy the room, or skip out on not paying, or steal stuff from the room...etc.

your parents can put up the card, but they may ask for it when you get to the hotel. They may have to make you an authorized user. Even if your going to pay cash for the end of the trip.

Unless your the person on the card. It won't fly.

If your parents are paying online - take a print out of the receipt with you as proof of purchase.

Call the hotel and explain that your parents are paying. The hotel usually will send a form for your parents to fill out and it has to be faxed back to the hotel.

I do it for my staff who cant afford to pay for the hotel upfront.

First have your parents call the hotel and explain to the reservation clerk the circumstances. With a major university here it must happen all the time. When my daughter traveled to check out the university that is what I did. As long as I prearranged it and guaranteed responsibility was all that it took.

Whenever I have reserved a motel room online I have had to show the card at check-in. Try cash.
