You would need at least DSL, and even that might be iffy. E.g., where I live, I am supposed to get up to 2.5Mb download speeds, but, I am too far from the switch, so, 2.2Mb is the best I can get, and when the network is busy, not even that. That's just the way it is.

It runs through your internet connection. So, as long as you have better than dial up, you should be fine.
