How can I lose 10 ponunds?

I'm 13, I weigh 130 pounds, and I'm 5'6. I have horrible self esteem and I feel that if I lose 10 pounds, I'll feel better about myself. I want to lose weight the healthy way. You know, good diet and exercise. But I'm confused on how to do it. I don't care how long it takes, but I want to lose 10 pounds. It could take a year for all I care. I can never stay motivated too, and eating better costs a lot... Can you tell me how to stay motivated? Also, what's a good plan, food wise? And whats the best exercise I could possibly do to help me lose weight? I'm in love with sweets... HELP!
