I've decided to start a healthy lifestyle because I want to lose weight, see improvements in my overall appearance and just cut out all the harmful things. I'm 16 years old, about 5 foot 7 and my current weight is 11 stones (154 pounds). I want to get between 8.5 to 9 stones. That would mean losing around 35 pounds which I should be able to do over a period of 18 weeks, by the middle of August. I just need some tips as to what to eat everyday and what kind of exercises I should do. I wanna do cardio for 1 hour everyday and maybe some toning exercises too. Any suggestions please? Thank you!

I would suggest not eating anything made with white flour, so try to swap white breads and pasta with wholemeal ones.
Water is very important in the diet so make sure to drink at least 8 glasses a day. You will also get water from fruit and vegetables.
You should be eating more vegetables than fruit. Although fruit is good for you and provides a lot of energy, it is still sugar so you should limit it to 2 to 3 portions a day. Vegetables are best eaten raw, so salads are a good idea. The only things I would warn about salads is the lettuce in them, they have virtually no nutrients, basically its just water.
Try to make all your meals fresh and at home. Take out foods and ready made foods have a lot of hidden fats and sugar.
Swap out crisps, chocolate, fizzy drinks for snacks like nuts, pretzels, popcorn - and water for the fizzy drinks.
Try to do some exercise every second day at first as its easier to get used to it. Drink plenty of water before, during and after exercise. Protein is also very important after exercising as it helps to build your muscles and regain your energy preventing burnouts - stick with fish and chicken.
One thing to note is that you can't make all these changes at once. So take your time with it and don't be disheartened if it doesn't work immediately for you :)
Hope this helps!
