I'm not the skinniest girl around, but I'm also not huge. But, I am a little overweight for my age. (I'm 16) For me, school starts August 10th, and I want to lose a few pounds by then.I have love-handles which I hate with a burning red passion! So.. is there anything I can do to get rid of them?
I know I should exercise, but what kind of exercises? What kind of foods?

Run about 5 miles everyday :)
Make sure you have the right shoes. Spikes or Reebok RunTone running shoes should help (:
I got mine a month ago and since I had them, I've been running 5 miles everyday and so far these are my results:
- Lost about 10 pounds of fat. (I can practically see my abs)
- I feel stronger
- I'm a lot less tired in the morning.
- Gained 13 pounds of muscle (This is different for everyone depending on the type of body you have. I'm really big-boned, I have a body that's 72% muscle and I'm a mesomorph and a endomorph)
Also, you can eat almost anything as long as it's not too fattening.
I eat a huge bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch in the morning and about 2 hours before I go to sleep.
During the day I just eat a regular meal. Then go jogging for 30 minutes.
Believe it or not, this is all coming from a FULLY-OVER DEVELOPED 12 year old.

Read the labels on any food you eat. If it has a lot of sugar, trans fat, saturated fat, try to avoid them.
Eat whole wheat bread and whole wheat rice, instead of white bread and rice. Whole wheat foods contain complex carbs, which takes longer to break down in your stomach. This keeps you full for longer periods of time and your body burns more calories as it breaks down the food.
Drinking a lot of water will help you feel less hungry, and eating small, healthy meats every 2-3 hours is much better than eating big meals every 6 hours.
Try to do any kind of sport that you enjoy a few times a week. Or go for a brisk walk/ jog for half an hour a few times a week.
The key for losing those extra pounds is simple - eat less food and exercise more - the problems appear when we in reality try to put that into operation! I'm losing weight on a strict diet of meat and mustard sandwiches...sometimes i eat a salad(it takes more calories to digest a salad then it actually has to offer without dressing of course)...or if I'm getting sick of mustard i use BBQ sauce
