Grill it! My favorite is Grilled Sesame. Recipe linked below!
My boyfriend's favorite is to steam it and season it with a little salt pepper and lemon zest, take a slice of gorgonzola, and then get a thick slice of smoked turkey and wrap it waround the two. Secure with a toothpick and maybe add a little dijon. He's low-carb, so we have a hard time agreeing on food...but I love this!
I love to boil mine for a few minutes, shock them in an ice bath, then sautee them lightly in a pan with a teaspoon of butter and teaspoon of olive oil with about 1/2 teaspoon of garlic. After they are warmed through again, a light squirt of lemon and I'm done! For a different flare, try some lime zest and some cilantro.
I also like to do the boil part, but then mix it with some penne pasta, with some other veggies such as broccoli, snow peas, maters, mushrooms, onions, etc. I usually stick to just three veggies. I mix them all together in a light olive oil with some dried herbs and seasonings (garlic, parsley, almost any Mrs. Dash is great and it's salt free as well (all dried)). That makes a great meal or healthy small snack.
I love asparagus, and I love eating it all sorts of ways, but my favorite by far is to saute it with butter, salt, and pepper. That's it.
Also, to be healthier, you might try sauteing it in olive oil or lemon juice (and pepper). I'm a big pepper fan, so I like cayenne pepper on my veggies as well. If I'm cooking veggies, I like them with bacon and/or onions, cheese, etc. Those are the quick ways (bacon bits and sliced onions, grated cheese, etc. in a microwave). But sauteing it is always a million times better.
Try fresh squeezed lemon juice or herb vinegar. The juice or thin slices from any citrus fruit is good on vegetables. Citrus fruits to try: orange, grapefruit, lime, or tomato.

Here are some ways I enjoy asparagas:
1. Wrap in thin slices of smoked ham or bacon and grill
2. Sprinkle with lemon zest and parmesan cheese
3. Steam, crisp tender, and serve with a dijon mustard sauce

Well, asparagus is really healthy.
And I don't like it much, so I like to 'zest it up' too.
Here's one of my favorites.
Melt mozzarella cheese on a row of asparagus and put chili/hot pepper sauce on it.
Yum.
Happy eating!
Make a vinegary vinaigrette and put the asparagus in a salad.
Or cook it seasoned with some ham jiblets.
I like to blanch mine, then saute it in olive oil, salt, pepper and garlic. You could even add some lemon zest.

Try marinating it in italian dressing and throwing it on the grill.
Holendais sauce!
