I have a data table I want to chart in excel (time vs pressure) each point has a time and pressure. The table was measured data from a machine so the data comes in 2 columns like this.
PSI Time(sec)
0 0
122 0.15
143 0.29
168 0.4
185 0.5
203 0.57
How do I get excel to take each row as an XY point showing pressure on one axis(x) and time on another axis (y)?
Excel just charts the columns individually not using one for the time axis and the other for the pressure axis.

You indicate you want X/Y in the first part of your question, then your last sentence says columns. What kind of chart did you want?
If you want the XY scatter graph, I would switch your PSI and Time columns.. make Time the first one, then select the data and insert an XY scatter chart. With Time as the first column of data nad PSI as the 2nd, your PSI's will be plotted on the chart (Y axis), and the Time will be your X axis.
If you use a column chart, the data won't appear correctly, since your Times are so low in comparison to the PSI. You can plot the Time on a secondary axis, but then you're going to get overlapping columns and it makes it tough to see.
One option, if you choose to go with a column chart, is to make a combination chart and use a line chart for your time data set, and plot that on a secondary axis.
But, after looking at these options on my sheet here, the XY scatter chart is probably your best choice as far as readability goes.
What sort of chart are you using? Should be the Scatter, not the Line.
