My computer overheats when I put it through strenuous activity (ok... I admit, world of warcraft). I have a program to monitor what the different temperatures are, and I really don't worry much about the CPU... It stays in check. However, there is a measurement called core... which I have no idea where it's at in my case... That spikes to like 105 C if I don't run a program I have called CPU Eat 'n' Cool.
The program kills my frames, so what can I do to make it so I can keep using it without this program? How do I cool off the core?

sounds like your talking about the core/s of your processor...if it is 105c is really to hot...it should be shutting down i would think...if that is whats going on you need to put some case fans in your case...but most important is to get a new heat sink and fan for the cpu....you need to know what type of board you have, intel, amd and find out what socket you have....run this app it will give you all the info on your motherboard....
http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php
after you find out the info go to the motherboards manufactures site and look up the specs to the board....find out what socket type it is...in order to get the right heat sink and fan you need to know the socket #.....then you can go to newegg.com or tigerdirect.com and look for coolers....
you are gonna need thermal paste also...i use artic silver 5....good stuff...

replace the fans or add fans buy a better heatsink, heatsink are the main reason comps over heat
