I hope the link will work, but anyway whenever i draw eyes it never turns out right, so any tips?

what i do is add more detail to it, try this: if you you have a little mirror use that for drawing, put it next to you while you draw and look at your own eye and draw what you see. works for me every time.
You can add the reflective light you that you usually see in a persons eye when they are facing you.
Just make sure that wherever you place the reflective light in one eye that you place it in the same spot on the other eye. If not you will make them look cross eyed. Some times there is more then just one reflective spot in an eye. There are two in some cases . Just experiment until you get it right .You can also darken the white of the eyes in the corners. If the portrait were in color it would look redish in color ,but using charcoal ,just darken the area in the very corners of the eyes. It will start to give the eyes life.
