Snack foods like granola bars and fiber one bars are good to eat during the day as well to keep cravings and hunger down. Also, don't forget to eat a lot of vegetables. Doesn't really matter which kind, choose which kinds you like most. However stay away from certain dressings such as thousand island. They have a very high fat content and would defeat the purpose of you eating vegetables. Also, water does good for you. Stay away from too much salt a little is fine but too much makes you retain water.
When it comes to exercise i would suggest a lot of cardio, personally i enjoyed the elyptical trainer. However knowing your age its not exactly like you can just sign up for a gym membership and so if you're going somewhere close by i would suggest that instead of taking the bus walk. Also, choose a time each day that you're free to go do something you like thats exercise related. Perhaps a sport or roller blading. It also really helps when you have someone who is willing to do this with you so bring a friend along if you can. considering how old you are make sure its close to home and you have your parents permission.
stop eating completely. mix 100mL of lemon juice and 100mL of maple syrup with 1 Litre of water. drink as many litres of that mix as you want, whenever you want, but nothing else for 2 weeks. NO LONGER THAN TWO WEEKS! It can cause damage if you fast for too long. after the 2 weeks return to a low calorie diet for 4 weeks then do the 2 week fast again. You will lose weight like you wouldn't believe. It's not incredibly good for you, so once you reach a more healthy weight stay on a normal diet. But it's great to lose weight fast.
Also, don't excercise too much while you're not eating, but as much as you can while you are eating. I lost 20kg in 8 weeks doing this. (around 50lbs). That's twice through the fast and months good diet and excercis in between.
This program also teaches you how to persevere through hunger and creates better eating habits.

Dont listen to Irish, water doesnt do anything if you drink it to excess. Drink water when you are thirsty and basically stop eating all together. This isnt healthy and you wont succeed, but thats the only way to lose that much weight that fast.
its harder 4 girls 2 loose weight but i tried drinkin diet pop, and eatin alot less but, i bet u r not obese at age 11. Scince yesterday i have lost 2 lbs, so it works.! :)

Your parents should take you to a Dietitian Doctor,there is no safe way for a 11 year old to loose 55 lbs. that fast.

Quit drinking soda, and/or fake fruit juices.
