IT does briefly touch a bit on making laptops in the development section, but when building a laptop you basically have to buy a barebone model (sort of a half completed laptop) that has the proprietary parts in it, then install the rest of the parts.
In most cases the only parts that you can choose when building a laptop are the barebone model, CPU, RAM, HDD/SSD,and wireless networking.
Go to a site like www.compusa.com they have Barebone Kits for very cheap. Basically all the parts, you just get to put it together!
Building your own laptop is like, impossible. If you build a desktop you need a power source, motherboard, processor, graphics card, RAM, HDD and fans. DVD drives are optional ^_^ You have to put them in in an order something like this (Google it, there are How To's for this kind of thing). 1. motherboard 2.processor 3. video card 4. power 5. HDD 6. RAM 7. disk drive.
If you buy your own parts make sure everything MATCHES! it's very expensive to figure out which piece isn't working right.
well first you have to ask yourself.. what do you want your computer for?? gaming, engineering, or just for plain regular use..
first items are a
mother board
cpu get a duo core.. twice as fast...with fan
ram card aka memory cards
cd hard drive
hard drive of 150 gigabytes
and a case
and a software of windows xp. or vista!!
everything is easy to install... but the only thing you might have problem with.. is activating everything and installing the computer..
heres a website pricewatch.com helps in buying computer supplies
its better to buy a computer build the way you want it. cheaper too.. cause the windows alone its about 200.00 or more.. still need to get microsft office.. which can be another 150.00.. and bout 6 or 7 hundred in computer components.. try the website.. i recommend it..
or buy a use bad *** computer from dell.. with a 3 year warranty included..
You cannot build your own laptop. Building your own desktop is simply purchasing all required components and putting those together; a case, motherboard, processor, graphics card, memory and you are done.
