Next generations will lose out on simple freedoms we ae used to.
Cartoons are now critisized if something is not correct - bob the builder didnt do something correct with health and safety. (i'm a parent). Cookie monster - cookies are sometimes food. A black board is a chalk board, a white board is a texta board (or similar).
And that's just kids shows.
How far will it go? The colours white and black wont be allowed to be used to describe the actual colour of clothes/cars etc?
Political correctness has been blown out of proportion just like many other things and will continue to be more conforming and limiting.
There's a time and a place for everything as they say. Everyday conversation with a friend or colleague. There's a bit of leg-room there to express your thoughts no matter how vulgar or inappropriate.
A formal public appearance or function like a charity event. Maybe keep your left-wing agenda to yourself.
I myself don't adhere to political correctness whatsoever within family or friends. I'm a huge joker. However, when among people I don't know or in a public atmosphere where I might offend others I try to be conservative with what comes out of my big mouth. At least until I can gauge their mood and sense of humor.
Politically correct is just stupid. Too many people are too sensitive... freedom of speech comes with the responsibility to ignore viewpoints you don't like. Just because you don't like what someone is saying, doesn't mean it should be censored, or changed to suit your view... you don't like it... don't listen.
if people come to your country (even though I don't live in America), they should live your lifestyle and not tell you it's wrong to celebrate of christmas, oh wait, we can't even say merry christmas at the office anymore in Canada.
Most people who are against 'political correctness' will always say 'stop being so sensitive' or 'freedom of speech' as an excuse to act like an asshole or a homophobic, racist or sexist person, but if you insult them, they'll get all offended.
If someone were to insult my gender, I'm going to get offended and I'm allowed to get offended. If someone insults somebody's sexuality or race, they are human, they can get hurt, and they can get angry about it.

Tolerating is not accepting. All pc want us to do is to tolerate. No one learns anything from it.
It's quite funny when it's being exaggerated.
very angry, pointless money wasting by idiots, dictating how I conduct myself, how arrogant is that.
