Although cliche, "sex sells." The average American, including males and females, enjoy some genre of pornography, whether hardcore, soft, BDSM, and fetish-based porn, such as foot worship. Though sex is an act usually morally accepted within a personal level, pornography generates significant controversy for being "morally wrong." Also, many feminists criticize pornography for being degrading to women, as it "portrays women as sex objects." Technically, pornography is only degrading to the women that labels it "degrading," as, if women did feel offended by porn on average, so many women wouldn't participate. In other words, porn does not portray women as "sex objects" because pornstars do not represent every woman. A decent majority of women that don't participate still have negative opinions regarding porn, and they know better than to associate themselves and their gender with something so "disgusting." Also, even if the *pornstars* rather than females in general were portrayed as "sex toys," I believe they have the right to portray themselves how they wish. As for morals, I believe morals shouldn't be instilled on the population as a whole, but rather the individual, meaning, each individual should be free to live how (s)he wishes if no harm is ensured. Therefore, if (s)he wishes to have sex on video for money, that's her business, not ours. Also, not all pornography is sexual. I'm not sure if this still applies, but at one point, "pornography" referred to nude images that displayed nudity, including sexual body parts, such as the vulva, breasts, etc, though, sexuality wasn't required. Personally, I can't disagree with someone that shows off her naked body for websites or magazines strictly designed for those purposes, because, as I said before, that's her business. The porn business is also safe, as pornstars are tested for STDs before performing. In porn, the pornstars and consumers are benefited greatly. The stars collect large amounts of cash for merely having sex, a 100% natural act, and the consumers get their entertainment, sexual gratification, and sexual education. Pornography is a highly popular form of entertainment for consumers and brings in the cash. More cash is good for business.
Not a big fan of hetero porn. I've seen a few exceptions, but for the most part straight porn really is degrading to women. Not because they're naked and having sex, but because the women are portrayed as sex objects while the guys are the people the viewer is supposed to fantasize through. ladyboy porn is often the same way, except of course that the person being objectified is actually male.
Gay porn though (both male and lesbian) is usually pretty good, and to me feels like it's more about mutual satisfaction, which makes it more erotic. Since the unspoken sexism is the only real problem I have with straight porn, I think it would do well to take a cue from the gay stuff. I don't think porn is inherently bad; it's just an erotic aid, which can benefit both single people who need a release, and couples who want to watch it together for something extra. I don't think it's anything to feel threatened by, unless of course your partner is neglecting you in favor of it, which probably indicates deeper issues than the porn itself.
I think it's a great way to express your sexuality and to spice up your sex life. I disagree that it's ruining relationships, I believe that lack of communication from one or both people in a couple about how they feel about watching porn together or alone is what ruins the relationship. If a woman doesn't tell her boyfriend that she doesn't like him doing it, then how does she expect him to stop? What's he going to do, read her mind?
If you consider porn to be disgusting, then you obviously have issues with the human body. Otherwise, I think it's great and people should be able to enjoy it without feeling like they're doing something wrong.
well if there was none, tht wud suck. Because wen one is alone and wants to do things alone, they watch it, which is not at all bad, its normal. I mean its gross of the men and women who do do it, but fact is all the ppl who just critisized it or said bad stuff bout it all know they watch it wen there horny and have no partner and even mayb if there are with their partner.
As long as the people creating it and watching it are doing so completely out of their own freewill and consent, then that is their choice and I have no problem with that.
Pornography is not very good for those who are single and lonely, because it just increases that loneliness and despair. Plus, it sends the wrong message, one of promiscuity that leads to the contraction of deadly sexually transmitted diseases. Sex was created for between man and wife in marriage. Pornography also creates division within families between husbands and their wives, and it encourages unhealthy habits. In essence, pornography destroys the backbone of our culture, the family.
Pornography is overall a destructive lifestyle, it can lead to the demonic possession of those who indulge in it, because lust is a form of habit that leads to openings that demons use to access the homes of those who use it. Open them up to attacks as never before.
