Open Terminal from the Applications folder.

When the Terminal text window appears, type: defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE.

Press Enter.

Type: killall Finder.

Press Enter and leave the application open on the screen.

Go to your ipod and drag your music files onto your computer. Wait. Keep waiting.

Now go back to Terminal and type in: defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles FALSE

and then killall Finder

Voila!
