If you have short lashes i would really recommend shu uemura eyelash curler. It's worth the extra money.
I have no opinion on heating the curler or not but if you do want to heat it, you can use your hair dryer. Not too hot though or you might hurt yourself. The skin around the eye area is the most sensitive.
The trick is to avoid the "right angle" looking lash. If this happens, it means you've pressed too hard and too long on one spot.
Just relax and position curler near the roots of the lashes and press, move it slightly to the mid lashes and press then move to the tips and press. "one-two-three" so short presses and gentle release.
It makes a big difference when you curl your lashes properly, you seem more awake/bright eyed.
I have a heated eye lash curler and it's amazing. All you do is let is sit for a minute, and put it on the top eye lashes for 30 seconds. You have to be carefull with the metal eye lash curlers, because you can pinch your eyelid easily, and don't pull to quick when your done, because you don't want to pull out your eye lashes. You just have to be gentle.
~look straight forward ~put the round part of the curlur on your eyelid as close to your roots without pinching your eyelid as possible ~keep looking straight forward as you squeeze it on your lashes ~i can do it w/o a mirror b/c i do it all the time, but you will probably need to use a mirror to look in...make sure the lashes are against the metal part after you squeeze..if not, start over. ~It's kinda difficult at first, but don't worry, the more you do it the better you get! (i can even do mine in the car now, but i don't advise you to do that unless youre really good, b/c if you dont know how to steady your arm, the bumps will make you yank your lashes, and TRUST me...it doesnt feel good!! lol!)
well i own one i heat mine up first by dipping it in really hot water for 10 mins i let my mascara dry first once there heated up dry them then use and it works give that a try good lick.
