How influenced are you by politician's endorsements of presidential candidates?
to me they have even less of an impact than millionaire hollywood stars.While It won't affect my vote here in Georgia I am seething at the thought that Perdue the chicken is going to back McCain! Arnold in California also pisses me off with McCain.don't they realize McCain wants amnesty for the illegals?!? I hope everyone can think for themselves!
Update:I personally believe a politician's endorsement is just another tool for the liberal media to promote their agenda. For example I heard ABC tv say, "wow Schwarzenagger is endorsing McCain , that should really shake things up in California " It was on GMA

Really liked your question. I agree with you about McCain and I was very very surprised at Arnold's endorsement of him.
Politician's endorsements help clear what the candidate really is, if he is true to his words or not and if he is just contradicting what he is saying to the voters on change. Many words are nice to hear but how it could happen is another thing especially if the talker lacks experience and has no track record to show. As one analyst says, there is no such thing as change but all for polls.
But one thing is sure, Bush will be changed. And as far as change is concern, every candidate can do it much especially by the one with experience, intelligence, competence and proven record. Latest surveys shows that Americans are now looking along this direction.
I'm not influenced at all. I could care less who endorses who. I have my own mind and my own opinions and if a candidate appeals to me by what they stand for then that is who gets my vote not the person who has the most celebrities standing behind them. Is it really such a great thing to have someone from Hollyweird endorsing a candidate?
I'm influenced quite a bit. For example, if Ted Kennedy likes Obama, there's obviously something foul about Obama that I want nothing to do with. When George Soros endorses Hillary, I know she's bad news.
If another politican endorses a canidate it puts up a Red Flag until I look at what they believe in so I can see if they're on the same track as me and what I believe in.
No help from a celebrity as far as I am concerned. I vote on issues not on endorsements.
It doesnt matter to me very much at all. The Governators opinion on the matter is the last thing on my mind.
