I have to admit I thought things would start to go better by now. MY company just announced a new round of lay-offs and this one will be close. Last year we were at 640 on staff and we are at 285 people and we will be at 90 people by 2010. Our company President sent a memo that the company is facing and will continue to face hard times for the foreseeable future and may close down completely in the next 24 Months.
I am quickly losing confidence in the President's ability guide our economy....just by the simple facts alone. I know he did not say any of this stuff during the campaign.
How many more hits do we take before we start to openly question our direction IF things keep going down hill?
(I AM asking for a time frame)

Right now his own predictions of how his stimulus will help end the recession are very wrong.
June job losses were much, much higher than predicted by his administration. Job loss will continue to increase under Obama's current policies. Obama can smile, and blow sunshine up our butts, but He can't deny the economy is getting worse. The end of July and August are going to be bad. Minimum wage increases this month. Along with 2 trillion dollars of worthless bills that have been printed are going to hit the economy. Inflation is going to soar, which will drive the market down considerably. The only thing on Obama's mind is where to take his wife on their next date at the taxpayer expense.
The Right will whine no matter what...that much seems clear. I think its ridiculous to claim the current economic woes are down to Obama's policies...they've barely rolled out.
Year's end will be a much better indicator of what, if any, positive effect the Dems have made. The beauty of that time frame is that the Right will claim any improvements are "natural corrections" in the market...not due to any policy changes.
Every president should be given the timeframe of nine months.
Why? Nine months?
First quarter is consumed by policy making and planning of regulation. Second quarter is consumed by pushing those policies. After third quarter, you get the first glimpse whether policies and legislation is working in the favour or not.
Then, you can make your opinion.
Guess Paul Krugman was right when he said the Stimulus wasn't BIG ENOUGH.
When are we going to learn to listen to that guy???
It is obvious that obama does not have clue what he is doing. The economy will continue to do bad until he is run out of office.
Never did support him. Any intelligent person knew that his policies and agendas were not going to help the country.
he shouldn't have been supported in the first place. his views and policies are antithetical to the Constitution and America in general. he telegraphed that from the start
