I had the codes read and it said there was a TCC circuit malfunction. It's slipping a bit between gears. How much longer can I drive it? Any ideas?
Update:oh its a 99 and it's pushing 197,000 miles!!!! this sucks.

With that many miles it may go soon, but with almost 200K the original transmission did its job. I would recommend buying another Acura even if it break though, they are great cars and reliable, I had a 2002 TL from 2005 until just recently, and never had one thing go wrong at all with it, not even break replacement. There are rumors that the 99' to 03' Acura's have transmission issues and that they go real quick, but I think that is exaggerated and even if it were true most of those transmission would have already broken by now.
What year is it and how many miles do you have on it? There is no way of knowing how long it has left, could be a days or years, but Honda/Acura had a lot of transmission issues with some of those transmissions. Depending on how old and how many miles you have on the car they may be willing to work with you on getting a replacement transmission. They went as far to extend warranty's on the transmissions on several of their vehicles. So first i would check with a local dealer, give them your vin number and see what they say.
Well giving the year and mileage Acura may or may not do anything for you but it is well worth a shot since they had alot of problems with those. Good luck!
5 minutes to a month.
That's like asking someone with a heart condition how long until they die.
More importantly, you should NEVER ask how long you can keep driving something.
If you're asking that, then you realize it's a problem, and you're ignoring fixing it.
So, if you find yourself asking that, stop immediately, and take it to a mechanic.
Or don't, but don't blame us if your car suffers irreparable damage, and costs 10x as much as it would have if if you had caught it sooner.
there should be a sensor that operates the TCC. you might have to change it.
