So I'm old enough to buy a phone, and I want to get the iPhone 4S which values at $199 with a contract, and without the contract It's estimated about $700. Can someone tell me how much the contract cost, I mean not like you buy the contract, but how much you pay for the contract?
Please no suggestions saying ''dude get the android its better''.

i dont know what u mean when you say "buy the contract" or "pay for the contract". That honestly makes no sense
but its really simple man. If u just turned 17, or 18 or something, ur probably eligible for a student plan. Meaning at minimum with a smartphone like the iphone ur gonna pay 45-70$ per month.
Unless you go with some of those new companies offering 25$ plans in their talk zones, etc.
But basically with the big/major service providers ur student plan will be approximately what I listed above, but more or less depending on the plan you agree to. So generally, you will have to pay:
200$ for the phone
55$ per month (for example)
+ Usually a deposit fee of 150$ - 300$. They will refund the entire amount after 6 months of reliable payments. But usually they'll put it as credit towards your account. So after 6 months of having your phone, they'll give you 300$ credit meaning for the NEXT 6 months, you probably wont have to pay

The total after a 2 year contract (assuming they give back your deposit and everything) = approximately $1,520
After a 3 year contract = $2,180
