I have recently bought Jarrett clothes not just for his birthday, but a couple of weeks afterward because he has grown out of his 12 month clothes. So Kyle and I agreed to buy him bigger sizes like 2T and since all clothes are cut differently he already fits into some of them.
Do you buy your LO clothes, every day, week, month, couple months?
Normally I would buy Jarrett a shirt here or there and pants every couple of months. If I take out 5 pairs of pants that don't fit him anymore than I buy five more. Are you like this?

I am always buying my daughter clothes. Everytime we go out to shop... I just have to get her something. I mean, she has sooo much clothes but I just can't help myself. Everything I see is so cute and so adorable... I mean... it's like they know my weakness... baby, cute, CHEAP!!! LOL... oh well, I love to spoil her.
We go up a size if we buy her clothes, apart from her original tiny baby clothes when she was born I don't think we've ever not gone up a size.
She went up to 9-12 month clothes a month ago, and we have bought her 12-18 for her birthday.
She tends to have a new lot of clothes every 3/4 months in the next size.
So next size up jeans, and we got 9-12 t-shirts and 12-18 long sleeved vests but both those will last past 12 months easily.
She has 3-6 skirts and vest that still fit, and same with pinafores, so its usually just when trousers get a little short in the leg, or t-shirts get short in the sleeves.
I will buy my daughter clothes every once in awhile while we're shopping but it's pretty rare. I usually order her clothes online and my strategy is to order all her summer clothes around February since they are generally all on sale and I order all her fall/winter clothes in August for the same reason. I generally order 8-10 pants and shirts and depending on the season I'll order a bathing suit or a couple of sweaters too. I rarely spend more than $100 each time I order. Of course each time we go home to the U.S. (about once a year) I can't resist the lure of the carters outlet. I get all her pj's at the carters outlet cause they always have a good selection.
Another thing I regularly do is buy new socks and underwear for the whole family when we go back to the U.S. to visit family - it means less laundry cause we can just throw out the old ones at the end of the day while we're on vacation, lol.
I buy my kids clothes almost exclusively second-hand, so I buy pretty much constantly. I always have my eye out for cute, quality clothes in any size. Both of my kids have clothes up to size 7 - my oldest is 3.
I just started working at a kids' consignment store, and I keep an eye on the sale racks. Yesterday as I was pulling stuff to put on sale, I found my son a pair of babyGap overalls and some pjs - $7.30 after tax. I shop at Goodwill a lot, too. I set aside $50 a month to spend on kids clothes, and I at the beginning of each new season, I almost always have a full wardrobe for each kid. All without ever paying anything near full ptrice.
Well, my girl hardly grows at all so I've been lucky in that she doesn't need new clothes every month. She is a year old and can still wear a lot of her 9 month clothing, but she also fits into a lot of 12 month stuff...some of it is loose and baggy on her though. The last time I bought her clothes was right before her birthday and before that I probably hadn't bought anything for several months...maybe a cute sleeper or outfit here and there just because.
We buy things here and there quite frequently.. Everytime I'm in Target I have to go look in the clothes section and I always end up getting a couple of things lol...I bought Mason a bunch of winter stuff recently and I bought jeans in 18 month size thinking they would fit him by time it gets cold enough to wear them (It doesn't get really that cold here until December)... but I tried them on him and they are HUGE! 3 pairs of them that he can't even wear yet! So now I have to go find some more jeans and pants for him in 12 month size even though he wears 18 month EVERYTHING else.
I buy her clothes as needed or as I see them on sale. I was at Target the other day and saw a couple of long sleeve t-shirts on sale for $3. I couldn't pass it up. I figure that she will also be able to wear these in the spring when it's too chilly for short sleeve but too warm for a jacket! (: During one of Carters awesome summer sales, I went and got her a few of their 3 piece outfits (jacket, shirt + pants) and some sleepers for the fall + winter. When my Aunt received a 30% coupon to Kohls, I went and got her a ton of fall / winter clothes. Typically, I shop when there are good sales. It doesn't have to be a birthday or special occasion for her to get new clothes. Just when there is a good sale + she needs them. She had NOTHING for the fall / winter but now she has everything she needs. Now when sales are going on, Im thinking about next Spring! (:
Just usually here and there. Mostly for my first born bc hes in 2t some 3t. But his brother makes out bc 90% of my first sons things fit him. Last time I bought anything for my toddler was about 2 or 3 weeks ago when we found out all his socks wouldnt fit and 3 pairs of sweat pants to play around in the house. My youngest we bought shoes for his bday which is on the 17th.
Whenever I go to mall (that is once a month or twice a month), I end up buying clothes for my 2 and half year old. Sometimes I buy so many clothes if there are any good deals on clothing otherwise atleast 2-3 tshirts for sure.
It varies. If I see a good bargain or something really adorable, then I will. Usually a few times a month, I guess. Then of course I tend to buy new things at the start of each new season. All four of my kids seem to be growing out of their clothes so quickly! Lucky I have three girls within 3 years of one another, so once one grows out of it, I can pass it down to the other!
I buy new clothing with the change of season. My son is 4 and really big. I buy clothing that is a couple sizes too big, just for his comfort and with the hope that he will be able to wear it for a while.
I would not be able to afford buying clothing every day or week.
