Everyday My Dentist told me it was due to the small gaps in my teeth that they are still there. My teeth as I got older I'm now 47 moved but the gap allowed this instead of then pushing on each other and working loose. Hence a full set minus my wisdom's but that's another story
after each meal, think of it this way your mouth is like a road with roadkill on it baking in the sun, when food stays in between your teeth it decays just like roadkill so that's why i floss after each meal

Every day and whenever I get something stuck in my teeth.
I love Crest's Glide portables. They are awesome and taste great which keeps me flossing every day.

Only when I can't get something out of my teeth. Then, every day about 2 wks before going to the dentist.
So, about once a month for 5 months and then every day for 2-3 wks. Repeat.
I don't floss very often (I know I'm bad)
