well I shut it down every night but was just "informed" that it isn't the same thing so I guess once a day when a certain SOMEONE complains that my computer is slow LOL (I do have high speed you know *wink*)
I keep mine on 24/7...there is a great contraversy here wether to keep running or shut down.... I was explained that there is a thing called "metal stress" on your hard drive..it heats up(is why the fans in the pc) and expands...then when you shut down the metal on the hard drive contracts..I was told this can actually take some of the strength out of the metal..and cause future problems...Now..this does not mean this is correct..for this is merely what I was told by a computer geek.....It is not written in gold here..but my first computer lasted 11 years like this....REPEAT THIS IS ONLY SOMEONES OPINION..iT IS NOT A KNOWN FACT TO ME
