My family is planning a vacation out west this summer, and we are planning on spending around two days in Las Vegas, Nevada. We have plenty of ideas for what to do during the day for everyone to enjoy, but my parents are planning on going to a casino at least once during the trip. My younger siblings won't be allowed to come, but I'm hoping I'll make it through the door!
I am 18 years old - I KNOW that I will not be able to gamble yet (you have to be 21.) But does anyone know if they will let me IN to the casino with my parents to watch? Especially if I STAY with my parents the entire time? None of the websites for the direct casinos give me a straightforward answer, they just say that you must be 21 to play the machines or to gamble.
Thanks for all your help!

No - you have to be 21 even to hang out on the casino floor. They may not say it on the websites, but there are signs posted in the casinos. You can walk through the casino, if under 21, but you have to stay on the marked walkways and go straight through without stopping.
They don't stop you as you're entering the casino, so you might get by with it for a little while. But security roams around checking IDs of anyone who looks questionably young. They'll kick you out if caught.
Most casinos in Vegas are also hotels so everyone is allowed in. However, you are not allowed to linger in the gaming area if you are under age. Technically you are not going to be allowed to hang around the machines even if it is just to watch your parents. But that only applies if you get busted. Depending on how old you look or simply just the mood of the security guards u can stay near the machines and even gamble. My tips would be just try to look as old as possible lol. Also, have a backup plan on something to do while they gamble in case you are asked to leave. You will pretty much be fine. I don't think I look old for my age and I have been going to casinos since I was 17. Yes, I did get kicked out every now and then but for the most part the casinos aren't too worried about underage gambling. Also, don't order any drinks from the cocktail girls including water and soda. They can be b****es. I can't tell you how many times ive been carded when ordering water. Also, choose machines that are away from the isles because then security has to go out of their way just to card u. Ok good luck. Sorry its a little random.

You have to be at least 21 to be in the casino, with or without your parents
