if you have the connection wire that connects laptop to computer, you can use it. everything that you do on the laptop is then displayed not on the laptop screen but the TV screen. so when u will play movies on computer, u can watch them on TV. isn't that great? my teacher does it all the time in our class. Good luck!
depends on what ports u have on ur laptop and on your tv if you have a hdmi then u need a hdmi cable and ur tv need a n hdmi port as well also if u have an older laptop you might have a svideo so you will need ether to check your tv some have svideo in or get an svideo to rca converter/adapter or finally you might have a monitor plugin like you would hook up to a big desktop monitor some tvs have them mine has all three o ya on the last 2 options with the svideo and monitor youll need a audio cable from the head fone jack to the back off the tv in the respective hook up you decide to use
It depends on the input/output options of your tv and laptop. If your tv and laptop have HDMI ports, that is your best bet. Some TV's have DVI or VGA in where you can simply connect the respective cord from your laptop to your TV.
