If you're referring to the new search header that's been showing up on the Yahoo pages, you can't delete it. But you can get it to scroll like before with a Firefox addon called Greasemonkey and the appropriate script.
BTW, do NOT take tap ffirg's advice and delete files from the system32 directory. That directory contains important Windows files that could cause problems if you delete anything.
If you installed Firefox optimized for Yahoo, you can't remove the toolbar. You made a choice, you agreed to install that toolbar. Now if you don't need it and it's taking too much space on the view of your monitor, so just uninstall firefox, delete all the preferences and settings in it, you can back up your favourites, so you can restore them again and install firefox from the Official website http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/ . If you don't want to uninstall it, you can propably install one more firefox browser if you choose to place it in other folder by renaming it. I don't know if it's still posible, but I remember it happend to me that I accidentally installed two firefox browsers on one PC system and user account some years ago, one was propably the beta version, other one the newest released version, I don't remember now...

Here's the Greasemonkey script for Firefox that allows the search header to be scrolled for all Yahoo pages. http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/173739
