I have my cartwheel and my one handed cartwheel. I practice on a mat. When I go to do the aerial I get scared and do a regular cartwheel. I even practice with a spotter. I'm so nervous. How do I do the aerial without thinking I am going to land on my had and go to the hospital.

Stop thinking just do! Think about what would happen if you did it!
Actually, some martial arts cover the no-hand cartwheel (muten), so this isn't in an incorrect section. The aerial will require you to get a little more lift and a little more push. Early on, tuck in your legs to help you turn at the top. Once you get over the initial fear (that moment mid air when you think "Man, I'm not gonna make it."). Alright, so full walk through: Step out as if going into a normal cartwheel, and drive the forward foot down into the ground to send yourself forward and over, but do not put your hands out. When you are upside down, tuck your legs in to continue the flip over. As you improve, tuck your legs less and less. Eventually, you'll figure out how to land on more extended legs in a standing position. Be careful, and when in doubt, shove your hands down into the ground to do a normal cartwheel.
Depends on which kind of aerial... front or side. I honestly think front aerial is easier because you can actually have more energy and preparation when you are doing them. I started learning aerials when I was 10, I felt the same as you... just know that the spotter will catch you if you fall.
Well what I did when learning mine was I would run for about 4 steps and then really push off of my foot and try to whip my legs around. When you go to do it, try keeping your hands up as long as possible! Count seconds so like go to try it and when you jump off of the ground, keep your hands up as long as pu can. Also to help you not chicken out just keep your eyes open (duh) haha but I've never heard of anyone landing on their head or anything because you can put your hands down at anytime if you need to. The worst thing might be you don't fully land it or what I used to do was put my elbows down instead of hands but that was when I was about to have it so I wouldn't reccomend it but if you know you almost have it then only put your hands down in the middle and pick them bak up hope I helped!!:):) good luck!!
