Wrap her in a towel just as I show you so she will feed secure and will not fall out the bottom. Lie her on your chest while you watch TV, read a book or listen to music, guinea pigs love music.Set her in your lap while you are on the computer, my Miya loved the should of the keyboard and purred to it. Carry her about as you do your day guinea pigs adore doing your day with you. Talk softly to her and per the towel thus you are petting her trough the towel.

These are just a few of the things you do on a daily basis you can invite you guinea pig to join you, this gives her all the love and attention she needs to make her a happy and healthy guinea pig.

Yes loosing a guinea pig is extremely painful, I think it is because they are so totally defendant on us and love us to totally. I have just been diagnosed with an off the wall autoimmune disease and had to rehome most of mine as I was reacting to their urine.I know they are in excellent homes but I miss them so darned much my heart is breaking. These are my babies, I had must spent $1290.00in medical bill on one of them so we had become real close as I had to hand feed him every 3 hours around the clock, we had built a very close bond, and yes I got very ill doing it. I miss them so darned bad though.

Entertaining Guinea Pigs

Piggies are social animals and need to stay in herds of at least 2. I know it hurts a lot for you- but your piggy is twice as likely to die from depression related causes. Entertainment doesn't help in time of grief, but having companionship can. Not only is your piggy grieving it's cage mate- now it's completely and utterly isolated.

It's easy on you but owning pets isn't about *us* it's about the needs of our guinea pigs. I recommend adopting two little babies so that next time one dies, the other pig isn't left alone.

*or* find a new home for your pig with other guinea pigs. But that would be two major stresses on your pig- losing a friend AND losing a home.

You can't have happiness without a friend. See, guinea pigs are herd animals and without a buddy how are they supposed to communicate and talk about what's going on with their day? You surly can't speak pig. Who is she supposed to cuddle with when she's sad and cold? No one... Because she doesn't have a friend. You cant really maker her happy when shes grieving. Get her a friend, she can quickly fall into depression and die out of no where because you probably thought you were giving all the things she needed when she actually needs a companion.

I can't even hold one of my pigs for 10 min. without the others in the cage going wild.

gosh we have the same problem... well u can either make a guinea pig out of cardboard or get some really entertaining toys!!! make sure u play with it a lot feed it clean it brush it regularly good luck!

Cuddle with her or give her toys. What I did is put a mirror in his cage & every time he sees himself he gets shy & excited. Sorry for your loss. I'm planning on getting another in a few weeks so he wont be lonely no more. Maybe you should do the same so she wont feel lonely.

I've got you bro. Wanna make your guinea pig happy? All it needs is some love. It's called "pig in a blanket": take a piece of duct tape and rap it around your little friend. By doing this, you can prevent a messy split when you **** her. Kinda keeps her in one piece, Ya know? You're welcome.

Aww well you can by her toys.I would recommened getting another but it's hard work.You have to play with her constantly .

You should really get another one but it you can't get her some pet toys from the pet store.
