Tomorrow? That’s urgent! First thing, you’ve got to prevent it.
Ask what is his plan on how he’s going to do it. If he has made up his mind you’ve got to stop him by any means. If it is a gun or pills, take it from him. Do something, anything that would annihilate his plan of action; the point is to save his life.
Once he is safe, talk to him to find out why he wants to die. Most likely he focuses on something negative, some kind of pain. You have to point out the positives which he can not see because his brain is stuck on depressing stuff. Also convince him that life changes, it never remains the same, something good, a solution will turn up at because it always does.
Remember, nobody wants to die, suicidal people just want to end the pain. Focus on helping with that, be diligent and patient and talk, show that you care, often this is enough to stop people from killing themselves.
Avoid saying things like “if you die it will hurt your family”. This is not a solution to their problem. You need to help to ease their pain.
Well if u r guy u can help this guy by motivating him although its less helpful....
if u r girl u can give him whatever that makes him feel best but then at ur own risk ...
i would suggest all he needs is his tension getting cleared or peace of mind by some girl who can have one night stand wid him.... ( i know its unethical but if u wanna save him u have to do something risky )
There is only one thing you can say, and it's not to him:
"Hello, [Parent/Teacher/Counselor/Pastor/911]? [Friend] has been making suicide threats, and I'm very worried about him."
You can't count on finding the right set of words to talk him out of this. There may not be one. You need someone with the power to intervene and get him help. He may be mad at you, but at least he'll still be here to get mad.
Please stay with him and tell him how much you care for him. You need to tell his family or someone else who can intervene NOW!! Suicide is not the way to go and these feelings he has will pass. Get his friends or anyone else to stay with him and show him theres a better way through this........Whatever you do, do not let him be on his own while he is hurting like this, dont keep something like this to yourself.
Maybe try to remind him of all the good things he has to live for, all the good things in life. Or tell him about everyone that would miss him, show him that he matters.
