go to your door and look for a rounded piece of metal with a piece of metal sticking out of it. It's usually above the handle. If it's hard to push it through all the way, put some force on the door and switch it in place.

Either twist the lock or push it until it clicks or put a chair there. That chair will only work if your door opens inwards.
