First, before you go to bed, rub an ice cube around your face. This will close the pores.
Second, take some lemon juice (I use ReaLemon but you can use an actual lemon or any other kind of real lemon juice) and a cotton ball and rub it on your enlarged pores or all around your face.
Lemon juice has an acid in it that delicately brightens skin and erases skin markings. If you have any scars or freckles you don't like, you can also do this.
You also need to use a good exfoliant. The grains in some face washes will help minimize the pores because it will polish off the dry, dead skin that causes the pores in the first place. Make sure you don’t overuse the exfoliator, as it can damage the skin if you’re too rough or you use it too often.
Facials are another thing that can minimize/get rid of your pores. One of the most important things to look for before going for a facial, is a good facialist. Make sure you get someone who’s been in the field for a while and knows what she is doing. Facials are not only soothing and relaxing, but they treat your skin of whiteheads, blackheads, pores, pimples, and pretty much everything else that is bothering you!
Also, remember the words: Alpha and Beta Acids. These acids exfoliate your skin to prevent dead skin cells from building up and clogging your pores. Look for products that contain salicylic acid. It will fight the sebum-packed pore, exfoliating the dead skin cells built up inside.
Give Vitamin A treatments a chance, too. Vitamin A works to promote more effective skin exfoliation and can help loosen clogged pores. There are a variety of prescription and over the counter medications from which to choose. For example, Retinol can be purchased without a prescription. Be sure to follow all package directions to minimize your risk of skin irritation and damage.
the best thing I have found is every morning after you are done washing your face rinse in the coldest water that you can stand. I read in a beauty magazine that you should put your face in ice water for 30-45 seconds, which I tried and do not recommend, it is way to cold and makes your head hurt. Apparently the cold makes your pores appear smaller and gives the the appearance of smoother skin.
in like a large bowl or something big, fill it with water and put it in the microwave for like 10 min, and then put your face over the heat, after a bit of that immediately get a really cold face towel and stick it on your face, it works! :)
