I don't think Japanese cell phones work in other countries.

But if you want to try, just buy a new SIM card in your country and replace the old one with the new one.

Basically, cell phone networks are different between Japan and other countries. So I don't think it works.

Unlocking Japanese phones are close to IMPOSSIBLE.

Of course, its possible, but its a complicated task. It can take about $700 to just get that phone working in Australia.

Why? Because the Japanese Ministry of Public Management, Home Affairs, Posts and Telecommunications strictly does not allow Japanese phones to work on other carriers than its originally designated carrier.
