I am running for 9th grade class president, against 3 other candidates, two of which are considered quite popular. I know most of the kids who will be voting, but some are new, and I would like to impress them with my speech. Anyone can outline a good speech for me or perhaps any tips? The maximum time is two minutes. All help appreciated!

i would reccommend starting by first talking about youself an then talk about what you want to change in the school, town, country or even the evironment( global warming etc.)
I won my junior class VP position over more popular people by writing a speech entirely based on humor. It went over very well. No one pays attention to the "I'm going to do a lot for our class" kind of thing. I talked about taking over after the President was assassinated and how I could run fast to elude any would be assassins, nonsense like that... it was funny and people remembered it. I also peppered the school with ridiculous campaign signs that made no sense such as "end the reign of terror, vote (insert name)", etc...
don't make your speech all intellectual. just sound like a party-person and everythin will be good. trust me on this one. also, still include what you will do. and interact with the audience ;)
Hope this helps!
