I have an HP Compaq NC8000. It was working perfectly fine this morning. I went out to run a quick errand without shutting it down and when I came back, it was sleeping. I went to turn it back on, and it froze. I tried the power button and the sleep switch both, and it's not working. It doesn't have a reset button and I don't know what to do. Any suggestions/advice?

Could be something to do with electricity passing inside motherboard or in some parts of connected internal devices. Or connection between the button wires and the source of power to the target device.
Try to shake, or if you have tools you can see whats wrong inside the computer.
Such problem as this mainly has to do with hardware parts. Especially if they become weary.
