It seems when I take pics the flash is toooo harsh. The pics come out too bright. Almost like a white light. I need the flash for dark locations. i use it mostly when I go out. Does anybody know what settings I can put the camera at so the pic can come out good?? Thanks.

I know what you mean from personal experience!
I did discover the flash button (lower Right hand corner) has an OFF, Full, and Auto setting. I've been trying to keep the flash OFF and instead adjusting other variables, such as external lighting, ISO speed, etc. The problem with fast ISO speeds (as I've seen) is the faster speeds increase the graininess of the image. Lower ISO speeds reduce it (the graininess).
Another choice I've been playing around with is to defuse the flash on the camera. My "real" camera has the ability to have an external flash unit (e.g. Canon 430EX). I also use an opaque cover over it when I want to spread the light around (e.g. defuse it). You can try to do the same with the built-in EVO camera flash.
confident, the HTC Evo comes with a three degree brightness LED. it rather is utilized on the digital camera function. inspite of the undeniable fact that, in case you're procuring for a telephone, i will concern a comfortable warning. I even have had my Evo when you consider that Christmas this final three hundred and sixty 5 days, and the digital camera not purposes on it. i don't abuse the telephone, in basic terms a pair of small drops. wish this helps you out!
