Some of those women were told they would NEVER be able to have kids. If you only had 2 periods a year, would you ever take a pregnancy test? No.
Some women, even those that know they are pregnant, never get to feel their baby moving because the placenta is in the front.
Also note, many of those women are overweight and that can decrease your ability to feel the baby moving as well. Imagine that plus the placenta being in the front??
Some took pregnancy tests, got negatives and never thought twice about it because they lost weight and didn't have the symptoms.
It's rare, but it happens. If that had been you, how would you feel about people saying that you are full of it and you had to know you were pregnant? Think of how awful those women must feel to have never had prenatal care, how scared they were with no preparation for birth!!
Some of them may just be saying they didn't know and that's true, but it does happen. You never know, it could be you next.
I believe it. It happens quite often. They know something is wrong with them, they just don't know that thing is pregnancy. Why is that so hard to believe? Some people have an easy time with pregnancy, some people don't know what the symptoms are, and some people just think they are sick.
If the people around them don't know, I can understand how they might not either! They even had a very skinny girl on there and even her husband couldn't tell she was pregnant. They all thought she just had gained a few pounds in her middle. It didn't stick out, and besides early morning sickness which she thought was the flu she had no obvious symptoms.
I am 15 weeks pregnant with twins, and I wouldn't know I was pregnant if I hadn't been trying and didn't look up so much info on the internet. My major symptom is fatigue. You hardly ever hear about that.
Sorry, but it seems entirely possible to me. Not everyone tries to get pregnant, pees on sticks, and looks up pregnancy symptoms on the internet! Oh, and when I went to the hospital for a urinary tract infection, the first thing they did was give me a pregnancy test. I swear the doctor thought I was in labor. (yes, I'm overweight).
Some people carry so small it really is hard to tell they are pregnant. Especially when it is a first baby. And if you didn't think it was a baby kicking you, you would likely think it was a strange case of gas. Some women never feel a baby kicking or moving.
And I do know someone who didn't know she was pregnant until 7 months. She had received that birth control thing that lasts for years and that you don't get a period on, so that wasn't a sign for her. She was moderately overweight and she simply didn't show either. It was her 3rd child and she was 19 years old. She still had no idea, since she was on the birth control thing it didn't occur to her it was even possible.
My cousin Mary had this horrible autoimmune disease and was told she could never become pregnant. Among many things it also rendered her morbidly obese. One night we get a phone call saying that Mary is in the hospital with extreme pain. The doctors didn't know what was wrong with her, but kept telling us that she had lived longer then most with her condition.
We all went to the hospital and waited. Suddenly the doctor comes out and says that she had a baby. A little girl. We couldn't believe it! Not only was our family member not going to die, but we had a new addition.
I wouldn't believe that show if we didn't go through it.
LoL I was watching it before I read your question (still watching) I don't know if I believe it either! Especially this small girl in college! How could she not know! My friends moms a nurse and there was a case here to but that woman was way over weight, so she didn't even show.
I have a friend of many years who became prego after she lost her virginity in high school and who was in complete denial that she was pregnant. she didn't want to believe it. even after having morning sickness and not getting her period, she still couldn't believe she was pregnant. reality snapped in once her water broke in the middle of the night and started having contractions. no one even knew. she was kinda heavy set and wore baggy clothes so when she gained weight, no one suspected anything.
thank god they baby was okay and wasn't premature.
as for the show, I don't think it isn't possible but im still a little weirry of the whole idea of not knowing. because honestly, how do you NOT know!!
Sometimes its very very hard to believe but I stick with the concept that 'anything is possible'. Im sure it's not as common as the show makes it seem since they usually run the same episode a billion times.
i think that show is bs also. i watch that often. i mean those women are having babys in toilets and at work and stuff im like how do you not know! how do you not feel a baby in there moving around like ever! that just doesnt make any since!
Yea I cant believe it all. I just don't get how these women gain so much weight and don't notice. I mean im sure you tend to have some kind of nausea or craving lol.
I think its BS
