Find something healthy to fill it with. I emphasize healthy because alot of people try to fix it with drugs or alcohol, but it doesnt work. Trust me. In the long run, you'll feel emptier if that's all you do. Or you'll die.
Why do you feel empty ?
If it's because you're lonely, find someone to talk to.
If it's because you feel worthless, do something that will make you feel good. Doing things to help people is an amazing way to feel less empty if thats the reason.
If it's because you're bored, do something exciting.
If it's all of the above, find someone who has common interests, and go do things with them. Or you could get involved in something and that'd also be a great way to meet people.
Once you sort out whatever issues you have, you'll feel alot better.
Speak to family or friends. Spend time with people you like being around. Do something fun. Identify what makes you happy and do that. Find a hobby you'd enjoy doing. Try something new.
If all else fails, see a doctor.
You might be suffering from depression.
A doctor could prescribe some anti-depressants that may help.
And you may need some counselling too if you have issue to resolve.
Try to keep busy and don't spend too much time alone.

A lot of people feel that way because we are tribal by nature, yet we live separately in modern society. Here are some good ways to fix your problem:
1) Get a cat or a dog
2) If you cannot get a cat or a dog, volunteer at a shelter for animals
3) Create something (photography, music, art, writing, collecting)
4) Appreciate something (art, books, music, beauty, comedy)
5) Stop taking drugs (soda, cigs, other?) and eating meat
6) Find people that you like, and don't give up on this
