I got a friend on Youtube. He's from New York city and I'm from Hawaii but we both have something in common.......we both want to become police officers one day.
Here's the thing he told me he was born in mexico and came to the U.S. illegally right after being born. I really want to help him out because if someone told me that I can't be a police officer (something I always dream to do since I was a kid) here in the U.S. I think I would break down and cry.
So is there anyway to help my friend out? I heard stories of cops who are illegal and got caught then deported back. I don't want this to happen.
At first I wanted all illegals to leave the U.S. but NOW I realize that most illegals aren't bad just bad luck. PLEASE ANY WAY I CAN HELP HIM? He's a police explorer just like me.

I am for a reasonable dream act, and not the garbage politicians keep trying to pass. I do not blaming him for the mistakes his parents have made. His best chance is to go back home and reapply. If he is young enough, I don't think there would be a penalty place on him. He might apply for hardship as well to stay. A good lawyer may help out with that.
SInce you are going to be an officer, you should remember, that a single person's judgement should not outway the communities wisdom. It's not your place to change the law, other than being a voter. We are not omnipotent and any large scale change in the enforcement of the law should be discuss by the community. I am not going to pass judgement on your beliefs. This is what democracy is about. I just want to remind people that abuse comes when enforcement of the law is tainted by emotions and personal beliefs. I do hope for the best for your friend.
Also a reminder, I am not a lawyer and I am just some idiot on the net. I strongly suggest that your friend talk to a real lawyer. This site is filled with people who don't know anything giving advice. I am not pointing out people other than myself.
As an ILLEGAL Alien being here over 10 years, he is ineligible to enter the United States for 10+ years. An an ILLEGAL Alien, he can not clear a background investigation. The only way he can clear even the first part of a background investigation, would be to lie, and that is an automatic failure on a background investigation. As An ILLEGAL, he is not authorized to work in the United States. He needs to go back to the country he belongs in.
He can apply for citizenship, become a US citizen, and THEN become an American police officer! You can't be on this soil illegally and be expected to uphold the laws of this country!
well the way that it sounds there is nothing that you can really do but if you know what i mean you are both in different country's so there is pretty much nothing at all that you can do but he is not the one that shoul be getting in torulbe it would be his parents he was just a baby and that is it there is nothing that he could do but bnow is a different story just dont' worry about it ok it is just one of them things that yu will have to get over i no that he is one of your good friends and that you's could be much closer then what you are now but you just have to kind of except the fact that he had nothing to do with it he ewas a just a baby when this all happend and now that the case is open now there is nothing that he can say because he probery doesnt even remember back then just dont evemn worry about it at all
