I recently came across a hack that lets anyone use a regular computer CDR/RW with a home radio. it uses the CDR/RW headphone plug as output and it is used to connect to a AUX input from a radio.
so I was thinking, how can we do the same thing with a DVDR/RW and a TV. is it possible?
Update:This is a crazy thought. The CDR/RW will be used with a radio as a regular cd player. I saw the set up and I can do this for my friend,I have dc power supplies laying around and a 5V regulator is only $1.59. the cd/rom I had laying around as well. so for less than $2.00 he'll have CD playing in his old radio..not bad if you ask me.
the DVD idea I know is different I am just hoping someone has done the same instead of buying a new dvd player. thanks

To get the video off the disk? I don't think that would be easily possible, as the video is ouput to the IDE controller, where as using the Audio jack ouput to a Aux input is just using headphones. But if you wanted to use just the audio like going to the radio to ouput to a TV this is possilbe the same as the AUX input you just have to use a Headphone Jack to RCA cables (or what ever input your TV has) into the Audio inputs.
i don't understand, why do i want to connect my cdr/rw to my radio in the first place let alone a dvdr/rw to my tele?
