I have just bought the 325 td and i wanted to know can i swap the chip so it will have the same horse power as the tds? The block and engine is identical. Or does any one know what else i can do to get 40 horsepower more?

The difference in the two engines is the intercooler. The one that you have only has a turbo as you can see a big hose coming from the drivers side of the radiator going to the egr valve and then in the manifold. The 325 TDS has a bigger turbo and a small inter-cooler which is situated in front the radiator at the bottom. If you manage to get your hands on a 325 TDS from a scrap yard you'll be able to take the turbo inter cooler and all the pipes off and put it in your one. it is a big job as it's likely that you'll have to take the radiator fan and viscous coupling out to have more space for working. Another modification that you can do it to block the EGR valve from the outlet manifold which will improve the power output and fuel consumption.
If I were you I'd just look for a 325 tds as the chances to find one at a local scrap yard are very small. I work as a wanna be mechanic and do go to the scrap yards alot. The scrap yard that I usually go to have had only two of these ever.
Hope this helps and good luck...
