...Can zombies, romance, rape, suicide, and depression exist in the same story? It's essentially a romance about a girl (who is raped by her stepfather) who gets infected by her... ahem... zombie-fied mother and tries to hide it as her brain is slowly eaten away, she attempts suicide after killing and partially consuming said stepfather during one of the classic "blackouts" that comes along with the progression of the illness, whose victims are called zombies because of the symptoms. There are a bunch of attacks and outbreaks as the infected start to overflow and break out of the "Communities" they are locked in, and they use her to stop them once and for all, since zombies aren't attracted to each others' flesh and thus won't attack each other.

Does that sound like way too much? Or could it turn into a good dark, gory romance? (My apologies for the half-assed-ness of this summary, but I'm tired and don't feel like putting much effort into it)
