I'm on depo as well, only been on this birth control for 3 weeks, after being on the pill for 5 years. I haven't experienced any spotting yet, but my doctor told me that spotting, irregular bleeding and not having a period at all is the cause of depo, but me I'm not having any periods, and yes depo makes you eat a lot and gain a lot of weight usually 20 extra pounds a year, you're not pregnant everything is normal and its one of the many side effects. Also having a period for 3 months straight or more is a pretty much worse side effect and if you experience this, talk to your doctor asap.
