yep yep, I've had if for two years (ugh) and my periods are crrrraaaaazzzzzyyyyy...I have some that last for weeks, then I'll go for 6 weeks without one and think "yay, no more periods" then I'll get on that lasts 3 weeks, have a 2 day break, then have another 2 week period...it SUCKS!!

Also, I gained 30 pounds!! not to mention the water weight fluctuations...it's awful...I'm getting mine taken out as soon as I can (which might not be for a while *sigh*)

I mean, it does stop me from getting pregnant (I've got a very healthy marriage, if you know what I mean, so there's a big need for safety) so I guess it does it's job that way, but the side effects can be torture. It's not that bad for some women, though, that's just my experience, so yours might be better :-)

i have a period like once every three months that lasts for weeks and i have gain a bit of weight but i find it hard to be rid of it... then again it could be cause i had a baby but im pretty sure its just the hormones in the bar

I had it. As far as contraceptive control, it worked, I never got pregnant, however I always felt like I was and yes I gained weight despite the fact I was running like crazy and breast feeding. I got it removed.
