I live in Minnesota where winters can be annoying. It has been snowing close to all day and I expect we'll get at least six inches by Sunday. Call me selfish, but I don't want to take long walks in this. I do take Bilbo out, he runs around since I can't find his ball, and sometimes he'll play with the neighbors dog, but he doesn't enjoy being out to long, either.
Does anyone have any ideas on indoor exercises I could do? Our house isn't all to large, but I can easily push furniture around in my room or the living room.
Update:Thanks for all the suggestions! A course sounds like another good one.
Update 3:I couldn't afford a treadmill if I tried, at least not for awhile. (Don't agree with Ceaser either...)

Create an indoor obstacle course. See if you can guide your dog under tables, around chairs, over books, etc, without touching him. Don't worry about speed, and if he gets good at it, move some of the obstacles around and try to make the course more challenging.
Have fun.
When the weather is horrible my dog and I play up and down the stairs. He likes chasing his toys down them! We also play hide and go seek, he likes trying to find me. It's not as amazing as a run or walk outside but play time is play time!

She is asking about exercises for her DOG, people.
I get lots of exercise, plus it's fun, by just going on youtube and looking for songs that I like that I may want to dance to, then look up to see if someone has made coreography to go with it, then learn the dance. I do that all day long and since it's fun I don't feel like I'm exercising :D
you should invest in a tread mill put it on low speed and tie his lead to the front where he can't slide of the tread mill make sure you are right there supervising and that way he gets his long walk in the warmth of the house he needs to burn his energy
i always do a good long game of catch the laser! and to get it started same catch and retriever the tennis ball. ! always works for me. good luck
you can do stairs, just either run up and down stairs or just go up and down one stair..you can also do lunges, those are fun, also the 4-minute ab workout...start with candlesticks, then side crunches, then sczizzors the OF's, they are basicaaly when you ly down with your arms over your head and legs straight out and you bing your hands to your legs.
wrestle with him...its fun i wrestle with my cats
